Meet The Team

AllinZimbabwe.com (AIZ) is an independent online newspaper covering Zimbabwe: national news, politics, business, sport, entertainment, the diaspora and the international stories that matter to Zimbabweans at home and abroad.

The AIZ editorial team

Our stories are written and edited by a small editorial desk and published under the collective AIZ News Editor byline. That byline is the team, not a single anonymous author: every article is researched, written, fact-checked and edited by the desk before it goes live, and the desk takes collective responsibility for what is published.

The editorial team is led by an editor with postgraduate training in journalism and more than a decade in digital publishing and search. The desk covers the site’s core beats:

  • News & Politics — government, parliament, elections, courts and public affairs.
  • Business — mining, agriculture, currency, markets and the economy.
  • Diaspora — Zimbabweans in the UK, South Africa and beyond.
  • Sport — football, cricket, rugby and athletics.
  • Entertainment — music, comedy, film and the arts.

How we work

Sourcing. We report from primary sources wherever possible — official statements, court documents, company announcements, verified social media accounts and named spokespeople — and we say where information comes from. When we draw on another outlet’s reporting, we credit and link it.

Accuracy. Figures, names, dates and quotations are checked before publication. Where a claim cannot be independently verified we say so rather than presenting it as fact.

Opinion. Opinion and analysis pieces are clearly labelled as such and are kept separate from news reporting.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. Material corrections are noted on the article itself with the date of the change. If you believe we have published something inaccurate, please use the contact page and include the article link and the detail you are disputing.
