Olinda Chapel & Njabulo Nkomo in open relationship

Olinda Chapel

OLINDA Nkomo, nee Chapel, has decided to be in an open relationship after she recently found out that her youthful husband musician, Tytan Nkomo cheated on her with her best friend.

The 35-year-old Olinda, who seems to be unlucky in love after being cheated on by another musician, Stunner, revealed in a live social media video that 29-year-old Tytan cheated on her last year with her friend identified as Fungai.

After discovering her husband’s infidelity, Olinda interestingly said she would not be dumping Tytan as she dreads looking for another partner. As such, she has decided that the two be in an open relationship.

“From today (Wednesday), Tytan and Olinda are in an open relationship. He’s allowed to go out and chase skirts wherever. I’m giving him a hall pass and don’t want you people to be surprised if you happen to bump into him with other women – he has a pass,” said Olinda.

“At the end of it all, tonight I want to have s** with my husband. I don’t care what people are saying, but I can’t be jumping around from relationship to relationship.”

With a very young daughter with Tytan, Olinda said she has come to accept that her husband, like any other man, is bound to cheat. She, however, advised Tytan to be clever in his cheating in future.

“You should cheat on me, but don’t get caught. Don’t leave your phone in the open so that people like me can go through it and see everything you’re doing,” said Olinda.

From the over 1 000 comments she received during her live video, some suggested that the six-year age gap between Olinda and Tytan was causing the young stud to stray. However, Olinda revealed that it was not true as her friend Fungai was approaching 40.

“The generational gap argument that some of you are trying use as the cause of Tytan going astray isn’t relevant. Fungai is three years older than I am – she is almost in her 40s,” said Olinda.

In all this, Olinda said she was happy that Tytan was inundated with women on his social media inboxes showing that she had chosen her man well.

Some suggested that Olinda keeps her private life private but she refused to say her life was out in the open.

“When Tytan and I started dating, you (social media followers) were there. When he paid the bride price, you were there, when we got married, you were there. Even throughout the pregnancy and birth of our daughter, you were there. Now that there are problems I should hide them? No!” said Olinda.

Two years ago, upon finding out that her ex-boyfriend rapper Stunner (who is ironically Tytan’s friend) was cheating on her, she went on Facebook live, crying her eyeballs out.

However, this time she was calm and content.

This calmness, according to Olinda Chapel Nkomo, was because she could not afford to be hurt anymore.

“I can’t be hurt anymore. I want marriages to be renewable like television licences. I think there should be an option that after a year, you can renew and state if you want to be in the marriage or not.

“I want to advocate for that from now on.”The Chronicle

Gonyeti abducted and beaten by masked men

Gonyeti abducted

Gonyeti has been found after being abducted and beaten by masked gunmen in the capital Harare, her relatives and colleagues say.

Samantha Kureya, known by her stage name “Gonyeti”, has been critical of the police and government in her skits.

She was taken from her home, beaten and forced to drink sewage before being dumped, her colleague says.

In Zimbabwe, comedians have historically found it difficult to make jokes about authority, fearing jail.
Police have not yet commented on her abduction.

Her brother, Jonathan Gasa, told the BBC that about six armed masked men stormed her home on Wednesday night, took her away, stripped and assaulted her.

He said they accused her of undermining the government with her skits.

She was found three hours later.

Her colleague Lucky Aaron told the BBC that she was dumped in “the bush” in the suburbs of Harare.

He said he picked her up and took her to the hospital for scans which confirmed no bones had been broken.

But he was still concerned for her health because she was forced to drink sewage, he added.

In a tweet, opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) leader Nelson Chamisa called her abduction a “barbaric human rights violation”

In February Kureya was one of two comedians arrested for public nuisance for wearing a uniform that resembled a police uniform in a skit, reports the BBC’s Shingai Nyoka from Harare.

At the time she was reportedly warned that her comedy was becoming too political.

Gonyeti’s abduction follows several recent cases of activists who were planning anti-government protests being abducted and tortured, human rights groups say.

The Zimbabwean authorities denied any involvement in those abductions.

They have not yet commented on the comedian’s abduction.

Kureya told the BBC in 2018 that her comedy company Bustop TV used to be banned from attending national events but since Robert Mugabe was ousted from power she hoped comedians would be allowed more freedom of expression.

“I just hope in Zimbabwe we have the freedom to talk about the president without being in trouble, the freedom to talk about anyone without the police coming after you.”
“I just hope it will change, ” she said.BBC

Olinda Chapel and Tytan in stormy breakup

Olinda Chapel and Njabulo Nkomo

After a stormy month with his wife Olinda Chapel, Njabulo Nkomo has called time on their marriage, hinting at domestic abuse.

Olinda (35) accused Tytan Skhokho(29) of cheating with her best friend identified as Fungai last month.

In a statement yesterday, the Mukoko hit-maker who is now based in the United Kingdom where he was staying with Olinda said more details would be given in due course. He said in the meantime he has engaged the police and lawyers.

“Our relationship has sadly ended due to a catalogue of events that took place in July 2019. I will be able to talk fully about the details of the reason why our relationship has ended after the completion of police investigations and various legal proceedings,” wrote Tytan.

He said he is receiving counselling from domestic abuse services and asked the public to pray for him, his wife and their daughter Nandi.

“I’m receiving support from a strong legal team and domestic abuse services. I want to kindly ask that my family, friends and the public bear with me as I go through a very challenging and trying season in my life. Please keep Olinda, myself and Nandi in your prayers,” he said.

Tytan went on to remove all pictures of Olinda and him on his Instagram page leaving those with his daughter and friends. Olinda has done the same.

Now that it seems that the two have split, questions arise as to what will happen to the tattoo of Olinda’s name that Tytan etched on his forearm last year.

Posting an image of the inked hand on his social media pages, Tytan wrote: “What in the name of Uzumba did I just do? From today onwards Olinda, you’re not allowed to even dream of anyone else other than me. Even if I die, you’ll remain single till we meet again.”

People had warned him that the day will come that the two will divorce and removing the tattoo would be expensive.

Jah Prayzah, Tanya Chikuni stir up controversy

Tanya Chikuni

FORMER Miss Curvy Zimbabwe, Tanya Chikuni, has stirred controversy on social media after posting cosy photos of her and Jah Prayzah in Victoria Falls.

Chikuni, a former Miss Zimbabwe finalist who had been off the showbiz radar for a while, resurfaced this week when she was featured on Jah Prayzah’s Sadza Nemuriwo music video which was released on YouTube on Monday.

After the video was released, Tanya Chikuni, who played the role of Jah Prayzah’s fiancée, posted images of her and Jah Prayzah all cosy in Victoria Falls on her Instagram. Upon seeing the images, likely taken when they were shooting the video, most started asking “from which scene were these photos taken?”

Once again, most, especially women, started sympathising with Jah Prayzah’s wife, Rufaro, for having to witness such. Some suggested that she be given an award for being the strongest wife of the century.

“Mukadzi wa Alefu anofanira kupihwa award re the strongest wife of the whole century. Ngatimbomuombererai maoko, she’s a strong woman. Ini handizvigoni izvi makazin. (Jah Prayzah’s wife deserves to be given an award for being the strongest wife of the century. Let’s clap hands for her, she’s a strong woman. I personally can’t deal with this),” commented one Nyarie Wangu.

Some claimed that because of the chemistry on the photos, they had mistaken Chikuni for Rufaro.

“Ndanga ndati ndi Mai Jah (I thought it was Jah Prayzah’s wife) when I saw the photos,” commented another on Facebook.
The women felt that Jah Prayzah, even though shooting music videos, has a tendency of being too comfortable with women he collaborates with.

Some also felt that Chikuni was wrong for posting the cozy images as it seemed as if she wanted to spite Rufaro.

Contacted for comment yesterday, Chikuni said she could not comment without being given a go-ahead by Jah Prayzah’s Military Touch Movement record label.

Previously, Jah Prayzah, who at one point had images of him cosying up with Henrietta Rushwaya leaked, has said Rufaro understands his job as an artist and that she has no issues with his conduct as she knows it is purely business. The Chronicle
